Get started
Fireside reads a book with a voice you control. Three steps.
Drop an EPUB or paste a story link. Fireside reads it, breaks it into chapters, and voices each one.

A locked AO3 work needs your cookie under Settings, or drop the work's EPUB.
New here?
Nothing here yet. Add a book to start.
Try a voice
Type a line, pick a voice, hear it. Nothing is saved and nothing is metered.
Settings
Voice servers and source logins live on this server. Keys never reach your browser.
Default voice
Which server and voice a new book uses.
Pronunciations
Words the voice says wrong. Left: the word as it appears. Right: how it should sound, spelled out (Qui-Gon → Kwai-Gon). Applies to every book.
Plan & storage
Your tier sets how much you can keep. Storage counts once per book you hold; delete a book and its bytes come back.
Connected accounts
Sign in with Google, GitHub, Microsoft or SimpleLogin instead of a password. Link one here while you are signed in.
Devices & sessions

The reader is free to try. A plan buys the platform, and the platform is only half the story.
New here? No card needed.
A subscription buys the platform: this server, the reader app, your storage, and updates. It does not include a voice.
The voice is what actually reads to you, and it comes from a speech provider you connect yourself (your own Azure Speech key, or a server a friend shares with you). Without a voice provider the platform has nothing to read with, so a subscription on its own is close to worthless.
Buy the platform only if you already have a voice provider, or you are about to add one. If you have neither, stay on the free plan and connect a voice first.
The plans
No plan includes a voice provider. That part is always yours to plug in.
